I thought I would finally update our blog...the question is where to begin??

I took the kids outside for a little photo shoot, luckily for us there is plenty of "props" right around our house.

This picture is from a few months ago at my family's cabin in Parks. Clayton didn't understand why I didn't want to use it as a family picture...I let him know it was because of the UGLY mustache covering his face!!!!....so glad it's gone!

And finally I will end with Halloween. Bria wanted to be Calamity Jane and Wyatt was wild Bill. Since most people didn't know these characters, they were pretty much a cowboy and a cowgirl...cute ones!

Hopefully I will post some more before Christmas....can't make any promises!

Bria started kindergarten today. I have been dreading this moment but she was ready so I had to be.

She was loving her new school clothes and posing for the camera!

This little guy wanted to sneak off with Bria so bad but he is stuck with me instead!

No better way to end dropping off your kid at school then to come back to the car and it doesnt start! Oh well..... at least it got us there. Hopefully this gets easier.

Winter

This winter has been quite fun for us. I decided to post some random pictures of what we have been up to these past months.

We decided to go cut our Christmas tree this year, we headed North with Grandparents and cousins!

Bria spent alot of the time posing with her dads cowboy hat, I ofcourse took many pictures!

This is the first and last time I let Wyatt eat a McDonalds black and white in the car!!

With all the snow Arizona has been getting, we just had to take a trip to go sledding and make a snowman.

Clayton HAD to get a tent this year for Christmas. After I teased him that we already have a tent that we have hardley used, he decided to put his new one up and have campout with Bria ( I said no way)...in our front yard!!

He said it was only a little cold..Bria said she froze!

These two are hilarious!

6 Years of marriage and a Buck....

This past week Clayton and I celebrated our 6th anniversary....it also happened to be the same week that I got drawn to go hunting.

My hunt was in the Gisela/Rye area. on day 2 of the hunt, we snuck up on some bucks to about 100 yards away and waited until he stood up..almost 2 hours!!! He finally moved and I got him...one shot. I really couldn't believe it!!!!

Though this wasn't the most romantic way to celebrate our anniversary, I had so much fun hanging out with my best friend.....

This year for Halloween, we decided to not spend any money and use some of my moms old costumes she made when I was little...It turned out pretty cute...

Putting face paint on this kid was NOT easy..by the time I was done, he had wiped most of it off..

This picture has nothing to do with anything..I just thought it was cute!!

Clayton put me in for hunting again this year....so we are off to my hunt in the morning.... I get to put his camo on (yes we are similar sizes...I am ok with that) and we head off into the dessert. I get to fall asleep under trees while Clayton looks for deer, when he spots one, I will attempt to shoot it..I have yet to hit anything close..but who knows....wish me Luck!!!

A few weekends ago, we were able to go to Utah for the weekend and spend some time with the Hayes family... This is the plane ride there...

Wyatt and Grandpa Sonny were able to get us there real fast!!

when we were taking off and the houses were getting smaller, Bria looked and said " look at that village down there!" she also thought that all the trees were gardens..

we went to a monster truck jam......the kids LOVED it...especially when gravedigger came out at the end...

The announcer asked the crowd if they wanted more and Bria turned to her Aunt Natalie and said "I want more!"

we all had to wear ear plugs due to the loud engines...we even got Wyatt to keep them in after a while...he loved all the loud engines....

This summer Clayton's family organized some lake trips...we love going to the lake!

This summer we were able to go to Carlsbad CA with the Hogle side...we pretty much had a blast!!

Clayton thinks Bria has some mad jumping skills when he sees this picture...I am pretty sure its just the angle.!

Clayton informed me months ago that all he will be doing in Cali is surf....he did!

Wyatt LOVED the ocean...if we let him go..he would bolt to the water..

Bria wanted to do this ride over and over...this is some of her fun cousins and Aunts too!

This is actually at my house, I decided to plant sunflower seeds this summer..I planted a whole bunch thinking that only one or two would take....wrong!! I have almost 20!!!

I love Arizona sunsets...even in the heat of summer!!

Alpine Arizona

For Memorial Day weekend we were lucky enough to go to one of our favorite places...Alpine. Clayton's Grandparents have a beautiful cabin there. This weekend was especially fun because all it did was rain!!

It did Hail for a while at one point and it started to look like snow!

It was pretty cold the whole time..hot chocolate and smores were a regular meal for us!

We did attempt to go stream fishing..and that was fun for about 30 minutes and then we were all hanging out in the truck while daddy was fishing.....he can never get enough!

It was really nice to get away... hopefully we can make it back there real soon.

I went to check on Wyatt a few nights ago and I couldn't help but take a picture of his cute little foot coming through the crib......he is so darn cute!!

This is what I found after Wyatt was a little too quiet for a few minutes....I couldn't find him anywhere and I started to panic when I found this.......yes he is eating pancakes from breakfast that where in the trash....instead of taking them away, I decided to take pictures....aren't I a good mom!!!!....gross!!

He really was so proud of himself....

Here is the latest project Clayton has been working on....I really wish I had a before picture. This is the old Evans bike that everyone in Clayton's family rode when they were kids....it's a Schwinn Stingray Pixie....believe it or not this is a classic that a lot of people want. Clayton painted it, put new rims and tires on it, and re-did the banana seat....we still have to put the stickers back on and give it some new handlebar grips..but other than that..it is back to new...I think its so awesome!! PS...Clayton loves that it is borderline lowrider looking...hello...ghetto!!

I wonder what the next project will be.........

I couldn't get Wyatt to look straight at me for his Easter picture so this is the best I got...

I also had a hard time getting both the kids to look at me...I should have never waited until after church to take them!!

This picture of Bria wasn't in good focus but I love it because it captures her in the moment of finding the egg!!

Bria has had this rain coat and rain boots for so long, waiting for the perfect moment to bust them out...Saturday it finally came...

Lately Wyatt has been trying to sleep with Bria..he gets up on her pillow and sticks his thumb in his mouth, signaling us to put him to bed, he loves Bria!!

I forgot to mention that Bria loves to ride her bike...no training wheels and all...she has been doing this since around Christmas...She is so much fun!!

2 weeks in New Zealand!!!

For those of you that didn't know, my family and I went to New Zealand to pick up my brother from his mission, we have been planning this for a year...I can't believe it is already over!! We had the funnest time ever....It was a hard time picking the right pictures...sorry if they all start looking the same...here we go.....!

This actually isn't New Zealand, we had a 6 hour lay over in Fiji so we went to the beach..it was beautiful but seriously HOT.

We went Jet boating in a place called Taupo, the breeze was pretty cold but believe it or not, the water was really warm due to some hot springs.

we happened on this place while we were driving, it's like a glorified Alpine slides....it was so neat!!

This is Katie(my sister) and I on our way to go get Thomas...we were so excited!!

One of my favorite parts of the trip was going to a town called Tauranga and hiking the mountain...It was one of the few times we were in the sun believe it or not...It rains quite a bit there.

This is after we took the ferry and got to the South Island...which was a lot cooler than the north...I guess its really close to Antartica..who knew?

The last big thing we did was go to the Antartic center and see how they do things, we took the huge truck up some fun hills and into water...that was the only thing fun about it..the rest was about penguins..and cold weather...I am not really into either one!!

It really was the trip of a lifetime...we had so much fun, but I have to say...seeing my kids again was the funnest part..we missed them like crazy, it might be a long while before we have a trip like that again!!!!

I decided to do a photo shoot all by myself and it didn't turn out half bad...I am actually really excited about the cool shots that I got...hence the huge amount of pictures that are to follow...this is all in my front yard and with all the falling leaves...I had to capture some of it..so I hope you enjoy!!!!

Lately Wyatt has been pulling a sock off and stashing it in his mouth for when he is on the move....it kind of reminds me of a dog with a bone in his mouth, though Wyatt is much cuter, may be not less slobbery!!!!

Christmas 2008

This year Christmas was especially fun, having a three year old is all you need to get excited!! Bria was a blast opening up her gifts, she especially like her American doll she got from Grandma Sonny...she made me take pictures of her with the doll!!!!

Wyatt was fun too but more so because he is just so cute...Santa didn't bring him too much this year....just wrapping paper he could play with..thats what he liked best..

By the end of the day..this is what I got when I went to check on Bria...she looks like sure had a great Christmas!!!

Bria had her first preschool program and she did really great( except for when she ran up to the teacher in the middle of it and showed her the earings she got to wear and her new dress!!) At the end of the program Santa showed up and Bria told him that she wants a real black horse, I know...good luck with that!!

This past weekend Clayton and I were able to get away and celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary.

Every year we spend the weekend at Claytons family cabin in Alpine AZ...it is so beautiful up there. There is a lake right across the property that we attempt to fish each year...it seems we are getting worse with time..we didn't get anything this year!!! I still love it when Clayton throws on his cowboy hat...he will only where it at the cabin!! Thank you Clayton for the best 5 years ever......I love you!!!

Halloween 2008

Bria wanted to be a ninja or Mulan this year but once she saw the Batgirl costume..she was sold!!

So we decided to have Wyatt be Batman....

They were so cute all night

I found this old Robin pajama set in my moms old costume bin and it fit..well sort of...I had to wear tall boots to cover up the legs that stopped just before my knees and put a red shirt on under the top because it was way short, Clayton looked way more scary in real life..this picture doesn't do it justice!!!!

After conference on Sunday I decided to make some cookies, Bria however didn't want cookies..she wanted doughnuts. I told her I don't know how to make doughnuts to which she replied that she knows how and off to her little kitchen she went to work.. a few minutes later I decided to check in on her and found her daddy and Bria enjoying pretend doughnuts...I couldn't help but take a picture. If you look closely you will notice Clayton's fingers and toes..they are paitned orange..something else Bria did during conference (don't worry... he took it off as soon as she went to bed!!)

I have tried everything short of cutting his thumb off to stop the thumbsucking.....I always said that I would never let my kid suck their thumb...I guess I am eating my words now!!

I will admit that he is so cute when he does it!!

He even tries to suck his thumb while I feed him his cereal..it makes for one messy feeding..

I think I see where he comes from!!! His Daddy!

Summer Vacation 2008 part 1

This year we went to Farmington Utah for our family summer vacation. Clayton's oldest sister Natalie lives there and her daughter was getting baptized so we were excited to be able to be there. We ended up spending 10 days there in a toy trailer that we borrowed from Clayton's Grandpa...we really had a blast...

Bria is so sweet

We went to 7 Peaks in Provo during one of our fun filled days..I forgot how much fun tubing was.. I was even a bit scared during some of the turns.

Since Farmington is quite a drive, we decided to camp half way there.This first picture is on day one....I bet you all didn't know that Bria is a ninja!!

Bria and Dad before they head on out to go fishing.. Bria caught 2 snakes before they came back...yikes!!

The one picture I get with my kids and they both aren't looking at the camera!! We spent Sunday after church at the Salt Lake Temple. It was such a fun time showing Bria the Angel on top of the Temple.

Summer Vacation 2008 part 3

Wyatt was such a champ during the trip...he really just hangs out and smiles all day long!

This is one of Clayton's tricks he likes to pull when he wants to get all the Grandma's yelling at him...it works every time!!

One of the funnest things we did was go sky diving....no not out of an airplane, but in a simulator. We even let Bria do it...actually she wouldn't take no for an answer, she was so cute and did an amazing job..Clayton was so proud of her, he talked about how cute she was for days.

This was the skydiving group..it's hard to see who is who due to the suits and goggles.

Isn't she so awesome!! She wasn't scared at all.

To say the least, Utah was so fun this summer...we actually think we might do it every year!!

The first lake trip of the summer

I was a bit nervous to take Wyatt to lake just because it was a bit hot to say the least, but he didn't seem to mind the heat, and he was so fun!

Bria on the other hand was very excited to get to the lake. We went to Canyon lake and the whole ride up she kept asking if we were at the lake yet. She had a blast shooting everyone with this water gun thing!

I think Bria pretty much wore herself out. We weren't on the road five minutes before she was out!!

This past week I asked Bria to make her bed since she is no longer taking naps. This is exactly how she did it...not bad!! I guess she does pay attention when I don't think she is!

Wyatt Clayton Evans

We were blessed with Wyatt on March 20, 2008. We didn't find out what we were having so we were shocked and so excited to get a little boy. Clayton and I were positive that it was a girl but happy to be wrong!

We blessed Wyatt on my birthday last week. It was so fun to have all the family together and the best birthday gift . It was also special to get a 4th generation picture with Clayton's dad and grandpa.

Bria Elaine Evans

Bria is very hard to describe...actually this picture says it all! She is in one of my old slips that I wore under my dresses as a kid ( she has this on almost all the time) and when she discovered my light switch in my bathroom was broken, she quickly ran and got her tool box and decided to fix it. She is a princess with a set of tools!! Bria just turned 3 in February and is excited to be a big sister. She actually is very helpful...most of the time. But most of all she makes everyone around her smile. If there is a word that describes her best..it would be addicting, you can never get enough of her!!

Well I hope this is a good start. I still have some figuring out as I go, It actually took me way too long to do this much, so before I mess it all up I am going to sign off for now!!
